WHO WE ARE
Here at Monterey Bay Teachers Association, we are proud to advocate for our preschool - Adult school teachers, nurses, counselors, speech pathologist, and academic counselors. We firmly believe that the work we do has a direct benefit on the educational quality of our schools. Empowered teachers means empowered students. We ensure that the civil rights of all students and educators are protected.

COMING UP MBTA...
Our Membership Committee showed up at the New Teacher Orientation and got almost 80% of new teachers signed up for the union!
Our team is focused on getting that membership number as high as possible before we go back to the bargaining table in September to continue discussions on:
- Salary
- Work Day
- Benefits
- Class Size
Ultimately, by looking at these contract sections, we hope to lay the foundation for reduced educator turnover so we can create the schools our students deserve.
Our General Membership Meetings...
This year, General Membership meetings are September 21st, November 2nd, March 7th and May 9th.
